PT. Bara Alam Utama is actively expanding its exploration division. The company is seeking dedicated, skilled professionals to join the team at the operational site in North Musi Rawas (Musi Rawas Utara), South Sumatra.
1. Junior Geologist
The Junior Geologist will play a hands-on role in executing exploration activities and ensuring data integrity on-site.
Key Responsibilities:
* Execute comprehensive exploration phases, encompassing geological mapping, drilling operations, geophysical logging, coal sampling, and precise reporting according to schedule.
* Examine drill core samples, provide detailed lithological descriptions, and compile accurate drill logs.
* Interpret geophysical logging data to support subsurface evaluations.
* Build, update, and maintain organized drilling databases.
* Coordinate seamlessly with the broader exploration team while adhering strictly to company standards and operating procedures.
Candidate Qualifications:
* Education: Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Geological Engineering.
* Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience in the mining or exploration sector.
* Technical Expertise: Proficient in coal geological mapping, drilling supervision, coal sample handling, database management, geophysical logging interpretation, and borehole correlation.
* Location: Must be willing to be stationed at the North Musi Rawas site, South Sumatra.
2. Exploration Geologist
The Exploration Geologist will take ownership of strategic planning, supervision, and advanced modeling to drive the company’s resource evaluation efforts forward.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan, execute, and oversee end-to-end exploration workflows, from initial geological mapping and drilling to advanced sampling and formal reporting.
* Perform detailed interpretation and correlation of coal seams.
* Develop robust geological models for coal deposits.
* Manage, audit, and validate comprehensive geological databases.
* Collaborate closely with exploration teams, support departments, and external third-party stakeholders.
* Ensure all field and office operations fully comply with industry standards, internal protocols, and regulatory frameworks.
Candidate Qualifications:
* Education: Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Geological Engineering.
* Experience: Minimum of 5 years of dedicated experience in coal exploration and resource evaluation.
* Technical Proficiency: Deep expertise in coal mapping, drilling execution, exploration reporting, geological modeling, and coal resource estimation.
Certifications: Mandatory possession of a Mining Supervisor certification—either Pengawas Pertambangan Tingkat Pratama (POP) or Madya (POM)*.
* Location: Must be willing to be stationed at the North Musi Rawas site, South Sumatra.
