## Role Overview and Key Responsibilities
As a Logistics Specialist within the data center environment, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining the integrity, security, and efficiency of Microsoft’s hardware infrastructure. The core responsibilities include:
Tactical and Operational Excellence
* Shift Management: Proactively manage high-volume tasks and resolve operational bottlenecks using professional judgment and process expertise.
* Process Compliance: Adhere strictly to security and data management protocols, ensuring that every action aligns with company and industry standards.
* Operational Execution: Follow established methodologies to ensure consistency, accuracy, and timely delivery across all logistics operations.
Logistics and Inventory Management
* Supply Chain Coordination: Manage end-to-end inbound and outbound deliveries, including purchase order receiving and Rack Movement Supervisor (RMS) activities.
* Inventory Stewardship: Maintain real-time accuracy in configuration management databases and asset repositories, while conducting regular cycle audits.
* Documentation: Handle customs documentation for outbound packages and ensure detailed physical tracking of all assets.
Specialized Hardware Handling
* Warranty Management: Facilitate the Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) process, including vendor engagement and hardware packaging, in strict accordance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
* Data Security: Perform the secure destruction of Data Bearing Devices (DBD), ensuring serial number verification and oversight of third-party destruction vendors.
* Procurement Support: Monitor stock levels and provide timely notifications to management regarding shortages or supply chain discrepancies.
## Required Qualifications and Experience
