The Lifecycle of Oil Palm Cultivation
Understanding the biological timeline of the oil palm (Elaeis guineensis) is essential to our operational success:
* Early Development: Fresh Fruit Bunches (FFB) typically reach maturity for the first harvest approximately 36 months after planting, depending on the specific variety.
* Peak Productivity: Harvesting efficiency and output volumes undergo a significant upward trajectory until the eighth year.
* Gradual Decline: By the fifteenth year, crop yields typically begin to taper off.
* Replanting Phase: By the 25-year mark, plantations enter a critical "replanting" cycle to sustain long-term productivity.
